Did You Know?
Learning something new everyday is one of my critical philosophies of life. This could be a new piece of information, or something new that you have learned about yourself or others. About the Teepee Poles
In the Cree culture, every Teepee made contains 15 poles and each pole of the teepee represents a value. Those poles suround them every day to remind them of the basic key values in life. The 15 values are listed below: (Thanks to Cheryl for the link and lesson

- Honouring each other’s basic rights.

- To understand our relationship with the Creator and creation.
Happiness
- Our actions make our ancestors happy in the next world.

Faith
- To believe in a power greater than ourselves.
Kinship
- The roots that tie us to the lifeblood of the earth.
Cleanliness
- Good health habits reflects a clean mind.
Thankfulness
- Giving thanks for other’s kindness and the Creator’s gifts.
Sharing
- Providing for each other.
Strength
- Accepting difficulties and tragedies and the having patience to endure.
Good Child Rearing
- Children are unique and blessed with the gift of life.
Hope
- Hope for better things to make life easier for us.
Ultimate Protection
- Ultimate responsibility to achieve a healthy balance of body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
Control Flaps
- Connection of all things controls and creates harmony in our life.
